Snookers Ronnie O’sulivan may face more disciplinary action after pulling out of the first event of the season.

The world champion withdrew from his Wuxi Classic qualifier against Michael Wasley for “personal reasons”.

O’Sullivan, 37, hinted at retirement at the Crucible last month and insisted he wanted appearance money to play overseas.

The Rocket was interviewed on Sky TV on the previous Saturday night watching Carl Froch’s world title fight in London.

The Wuxi Classic is the first tournament in Barry Hearn’s revamped schedule which sees the world’s top players join in at the 128-man stage of ranking events.
