The WPBSA coaching team of Steve Davis, Terry Griffiths and Chris Lovell has now trained 103 official coaches.
The 23 coaches who graduated as WPBSA World Snooker coaches in Sheffield recently took the total into three figures.
Delegates came from as far afield as Norway, Belgium, Finland, Hong Kong, Japan, the Republic of Ireland, India and the UK to take part in the two day course.
Steve Davis said: “It’s great to see the message is getting through that we need snooker ambassadors all around the globe to increase participation in our sport. A record of over a 100 graduations in 18 months is a huge step forward but we’ve still a long way to catch up to other sports. It’s a real team effort and thanks must go out to Terry, Chris and Jason, together with Andrew Highfield and Andrew Green. We hope to see a similar turnout for a sixth course which will be held at the South West Snooker Academy, Gloucester on 8th & 9th March 2013.”
