Australia’s Neil Robertson sealed the final play-off spot in the 2012 PartyPoker.com Premier League Snooker as he defeated Ding Junhui in the last match of the group at Spennymoor Leisure Centre in Durham. The semi-final berth was on offer for the winner and it was Robertson who sealed the decisive frame with a 41 break in the fifth to see him over the line.

Robertson will be heading to the Grimsby Auditorium on the weekend of 24th and 25th November and the 2010 World Champion can now look forward to a semi-final match against an in-form Judd Trump, a recent winner of the International Championship in China.

The other semi-final will be between John Higgins and the tournament’s surprise package Stuart Bingham who topped Group A with a string of fine performances.

John Higgins 2 – 4 Peter Ebdon
29-66, 130-1 (Higgins 125), 133-0 (Higgins 133), 1-87 (Ebdon 75), 11-68 (Ebdon 61), 43-81 (Higgins 47, Ebdon 81)

The final match of Group B was of little consequence and both John Higgins and Peter Ebdon took the opportunity to bolster their respective bank balances to the tune of £4,000 each as Ebdon took the match 4-2. Higgins’ two winning frames were both via century breaks that saw him double his money.
